Job Title: Foreman / Senior Foreman
Starting Salary: $34–$52 per hour 

Status: Full-Time – Exempt

SUMMARY

The Demolition Foreman is responsible for safely and effectively leading demolition crews and overseeing daily job-site operations. The position ensures work is completed according to project scope, schedule, safety requirements, quality standards, and company expectations while maintaining productivity and efficiency. As experience and leadership responsibilities increase, the Foreman may oversee complex projects, multiple crews, and developing Foremen while supporting Operations with planning, problem-solving, and project execution.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead daily demolition operations, safety activities, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.

  • Review project scope and organize work sequencing, manpower, equipment, dumpsters, and materials.

  • Assign work, supervise crews, develop employees, and provide coaching and accountability.

  • Monitor productivity, quality, housekeeping, labor utilization, and job-site efficiency.

  • Identify and address safety hazards, delays, labor waste, and equipment downtime.

  • Lead complex projects or multiple crews/Foremen when assigned.

  • Mentor and develop Foremen and field employees.

  • Communicate project progress, issues, and resource needs to Operations and management.

  • Complete required daily documentation and maintain company safety and operational standards.

  • Support project planning, scheduling, problem resolution, and efforts to improve productivity and profitability.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum five (3) years of demolition or construction experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience leading crews and managing daily field operations.

  • Strong knowledge of demolition methods, sequencing, hazard recognition, and job-site safety.

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to understand project scope and identify potential changes or issues.

  • Ability to coach, mentor, and hold employees accountable.

  • Senior-level responsibilities require demonstrated Foreman experience and success in safety, leadership, and production management.

 

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety

  • Massachusetts Hoisting License, as required

  • First Aid / CPR Certification

  • Silica Awareness / Competent Person Training

  • Fall Protection Training

  • Respiratory Protection & Fit Testing

  • Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift Certification

  • Rigging & Signal Person Training

  • Forklift Certification, as applicable

  • Excavation Competent Person Training, as applicable

  • Leadership / Supervisor Training

  • Valid Driver’s License

Compensation: $35–$52 per hour based on experience, qualifications, leadership capability, and demonstrated performance.
